Like many of you, there was a time when I worked in the corporate world. It wasn’t so bad, but it wasn’t my passion either. And oh yes, I had dogs… Long hours meant less quality time with my “Best Friends.” Rushing off to work each morning, I’d tell myself that I’d make it up to them later. But despite good intentions, that walk was never a sure thing. Bad mommy! How was I supposed to balance a busy, unpredictable work schedule with giving my Best Friends the love and attention they deserved? After many guilt-ridden evenings, I had an “aha!” moment. Maybe there was a solution after all… It was then that the idea of Best Friend Back-Up was conceived.
As long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to animals. They give so much and demand so little in return. What can I say: THEY JUST MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER. Growing up, we always had a dog….and I can’t count the number of times I felt compelled to take home a stray. I’ve just never been able to resist. Always there, always loyal; a dog is truly man’s best friend. To this day, I never drive anywhere without a leash and some treats in my car…just in case.
I attended De Anza Community College and San Jose State University. I hold a degree in Liberal Arts and a degree in Administration of Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement.
I currently reside in Sunnyvale with my husband, Larry and our two rescues, Lara and Blue. Lara is a rambunctious, naughty 8-year-old Yellow Lab. Blue is a Lab/Alaskan Malamute mix. He’s a big, black dog with striking blue eyes and a heart of gold. I would be honored to become a member of your pack and contribute to the care and safekeeping of your Best Friend.
